Blessed

Sometimes I tend to take the people around me and things in life for granted. Comparison is the thief of joy so why not see things in a different angle and perhaps life would seem more wonderful and better? I REALLY wish I can constantly be thankful and appreciate every second of my life, be it the good or bad because how bad can bad be? There's bound to be someone experiencing/doing worse than you(though that's quite a selfish thought). Just some random thinking on a late night because I have no more classes this week so I am letting my mind wander to other non-school stuff.. hmm.

Hokkaido Part 2 soon yeah?

Concetto by Saveur

Met up with the ex-AC girls for dinner a few weeks back :)

Trying Concetto by Saveur for the first time, really satisfied with their cheap and quality good food!

Duck Tortellini - $12.90
Generous fillings and the portion is just right(if you're a girl), not too full nor will you feel hungry.

Carbonara(fresh pasta) - $12.90
As usual, Carbonara will always be my first choice. This totally exceeded my expectations!! Break the sous vide egg, mix it together with the creamy sauce and bacon bits... Ohhh so good. Everything just blends so well together :)

Crab Risotto - $13.90
Virgin try for risotto. Hmm it tasted like rice with the texture of pasta hahahaha.

Would totally come back again!!! Sooo in love with the Carbonara, I am serious it's really good!

Student Exchange Programme

I think I went nuts over travelling ever since the Japan trip over a month ago. Just checked my school email and I saw that they are having sessions for Student Exchange Programme. Simply put, studying in a partner university = overseas, during the final semester!! I was like OMG I HAVE TO DO THIS!!!

Before anything else, I want to do this is not because I want to travel and leave Singapore, it's more of like a trigger? Hmm the better reason would be I really want to experience what it's like studying in an entirely different environment and also experience how's everyday life like for the people not living in Singapore.

Back to the subject... Then I went to search what are the partner universities of RMIT but after a few minutes I realized something..bad. I am the youngest in the family and to them(I think) I am absolutely immature in which I object! I just chose not to show my mature self since well, I am the youngest! I chose the easiest way to live life, nothing wrong right? Also, in their eyes I am not independent enough/yet(?) and apparently cannot take care or live by myself(it's not true in my opinion). The final semester is about 6 months long so after reading all these it's not quite possible they will allow me to go right??

Just ranting... I shall slowly hint them and see what they say.

Food update

Hmm nothing much just some yummy food photos hehe.

Finally tried Coco Ichibanya after seeing so many photos of it on Instagram. Tasted not bad to me? Love that I can choose the amount of rice I want and also the spiciness of the curry. But I got a little sick of the curry halfway through the meal.. Choosing cheese as a topping was a wrong choice for me! Shall try their Omelette one day :)

Sakae Sushi!

Salmon skin was sooo disappointing this time?! ):

One of my favourite :) Cheese chicken something I think. Love the mayonnaise!!

Whipped up some pasta for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I must say I found the perfect bottled cream sauce! You know how some bottled cream sauce just taste starchy or there's no cream taste at all? This one's different! Prego's Homestyle Afredo/Artisan Three Cheese. So much loveeeee.

My weekly dosage of Fried eggs and Steamed yam cake hehe.

Keisuke Tonkotsu King @ Orchid Hotel.

Free hard-boiled eggs, bean sprouts and sesame!

It was a tad salty for me, maybe less shoyu the next time?

Travelogue: Hokkaido Day 2

Back with Day 2!!

Had barely enough rest after Day 1 although Japan is only 1 hour ahead of Singapore, the tour guide wanted us to meet at 8am everyday together with our luggages and there was buffet breakfast(yay!!) every morning so I wake up at 5am Singapore time. It was totally worth it though, what is sleep when it comes to Japan plus the delicious breakfast every morning yums.

I was so amazed by the standard of their breakfast?!! Even a simple Egg mayo sandwich can make my day.. Just look at the generous amount of egg mayo filling!!

Japanese can really cook a variety of yummy eggs hehe.

First stop which was also one of my favourite itinerary for this trip, Shikotsu lake!!! I was SO SHOCKED at how beautiful the lake looks. Pictures later on!

First a mini stroll down their park.. Flowers are so pretty too OMG.

In Hokkaido, everywhere we went there's always an Ice-cream shop nearby. Ice-cream on a cold day is the best!!

In this trip I ate LOTS OF ICE-CREAM. Including the one from 白い恋人!! Which Singapore doesn't have.. Pictures next time hahaha.

The path down to heaven bliss and happiness..

The ferry had three levels and this is the bottom one. My mouth literally dropped when I went in!!! Never have I thought I can experience this too!! Anybody watch 'Return of Superman'?? You will know what I mean hehe.

So so sooo happy!!!

And presenting to you now the amazing Shikotsu Lake...

The clouds, mountains and mist just fall together perfectly oh my.
No filters!! It's this blue in real life.

This was lunch.. Honestly the lunch provided everyday cannot be compared to breakfast & dinner. Oh well it's free nothing to complain hahaha.

Second stop: Kirin Beer Factory.

Free beer tasting! Drank a few sips only because I don't appreciate beer. Still prefer my white wine hehe.

But I like this though! Cheese sausages to go with the beer.

Took this photo because the cheese was so delicious!!! Only for 2 bucks I think but I only bought one because have to be kept chilled haiiii.

Third stop: It's a combination of a mini zoo, cultural heritage and Lake Toya all in one place :)

Know what animal is this???

A BEAR!!!

I was soooo scare of this huge animal that I don't dare to go near the double caged cage. If the bear roar(?) I think I will fall down on the floor HAHA.

Tried uploading a short video I took there but failed.. It became a gif instead hahahaha.

Maple tree!!

Fourth stop: Went to see an active volcano which erupted many years ago. I am really bad at remembering names haha.

And that was the last stop. Dinner time!!

Group photo.
If only we were in the same group..

Happy 1st August!
Xoxo.
