Updates + Last Friday night - Zirca x Mink

25.01.13

So for the first time in my life, I went clubbing HAHAHA. With Genevieve, Serene & Eugenia. It was awesome, I'd lots and lots of fun!! Words can't describe how much I enjoyed myself that night so I posted just a few photos here (had a hard time deciding cause I'd quite a number of unglam shots lol). Before that, dinner with Mum @ Pastamania & McDonald's!

Turkey Bacon Cheesy Crumble yum yum.

Just had to eat twister fries cause it's available only during CNY period!

Went Zirca first then Mink. Photos are not in order. Really a big thank you to my friends especially CherYing and Eugenia for taking care of me throughout the night. I went really wild I think HAHA thank you for tolerating my nonsense too. And sorry Marcus for hitting your face so many times. But you guys made my night!!

CherYing & Serene.

Can't remember why I was sulking haha.

Genevieve, Eugenia & Serene. They were happily taking photos, without me HAHAHA.

We love this photo the most! Look like ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY ☺ ☺

Looking forward to the next time we go clubbing together again! Serene feels the same way too haha. Love it when we hang our arms around each other and dance the night away, forgetting reality for awhile and just enjoy the music, drinks and each other's company. I really love this clique of mine so much hehe.

Chinese New Year is coming in less than 2 week, anyone feeling excited like me?? CNY is my favourite festival because I get to visit my relatives (especially my cute cousins!!), eat good food (reunion lunch/dinner yay!), collect red packets, play mahjong and many many more! It's like all the good & happy stuffs are happening all together. Oh and such a coincidence this year that my birthday falls on the third day of CNY too!!

Some CNY decorations on my door :)

Craving for "Hua Shen Hu" now. Lol why am I so random.
(Idk what is this called in English, closest description is Peanut paste dessert HAHA)

Sunday after church in the car on my way to fetch Cy from Redhill.

Abrupt end. Will be back soon!

I chopped off my hair again

Can't believe I chopped off my hair AGAIN. Still remember a year ago my hair could reach my butt and now it's just a little longer than shoulder length. Still, I am pretty happy with the change of hairstyle but I still think that long hair suits me better. Shall wait for my hair to grow longer now ^^

Before a picture of my current hair, my breakfast @ Malaysia (Been going to Msia almost 2-3 times a month HAHAHA)!!

Love the toast!! Peanut butter spread, another favourite spread of mine other than Chocolate & Nutella :) Craving for this now as I look at the photo.

Hehe my hair now :)  The cut + wash + blow + treatment was super cheap plus the salon uses L'Oreal products!!

YAMI YOGURT IN MSIA!! Super cheap I tell you. 12oz for only $5!!!! AND THE STANDARD IS THE SAME.

Formal for Marketing on Monday. Longer hair suits me better right!! Still getting use to the length now haha.

FEELING SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW NIGHT!!! VIRGIN TRIP TO.... TELL YOU GUYS WHERE I GO NEXT TIME! HAHAHA

Shokudo Japanese Coffee House

Quick catch up with Serene & Genevieve last Friday. We window shopped a bit and was already too tired and hungry to continue as we'd school earlier on in the day. Then I suddenly remember I've been wanting to try the food at Shokudo so we headed over to the Shokudo @ Cineleisure for dinner.

I was filled with excitement as I looked through the menu because all the food looks so delicious!! Maybe because I was too hungry then haha.

Ordered my favourite pasta!! This time, it's Grilled Chicken Balls (the name's so funny) with Wafu Cream Sauce. Love the generous amount of cream sauce hehe. If I'm not wrong, there's a Chef's recommendation logo beside the dish's name :)

Genevieve's Beef Burger.

Serene's Curry Chicken Rice. (I just anyhow named the dish because I cannot remember the exact name HAHAHA)

Bestie and I!

Collage credits to Serene :)

I had a really great night!! Love nights like this, hope it will happen soon again :)

Till then xoxo.

My kind of day

My retainer is killing me!!! I'm dying of pain I'm dying of pain I'm dying of pain!! It's been... 3 months 4? Since I last worn my retainer haha. Decided to wear it again because my bottom row teeth shifted a little and CNY is just around the corner. No pain no gain.

Love Thursdays now because school ends at 12 pm and then I can go home to rest. Another good thing is for Fridays school starts at 12.30 pm so I can wake up later which means more time to sleep YAY. Big fan of sleeping here *waves*

This afternoon. Sorry if you got bored of my face hehe.

Orchard tomorrow after school with Serene and Genevieve, hopefully I can buy the shoes I want and make it in time to City Hall to cab home with Mum. Malaysia again on Saturday, eating + trimming my hair for more curls yay. Haha that's how I'm going to spend this week's Friday and Saturday :)

I miss...

Video: The last time I performed during Secondary school.

The days where in the morning before school I would excitedly pack my dance stuffs, looking forward to the new choreography or usual routine practice with my favourite clique of friends and feeling sad when there's no dance on that day. Or when there's a performance, I would be too excited to stay focus during lessons and rush out mid-way through class for last minute rehearsal before going on stage.

I miss rushing up 4 levels to make it on time for practice. I miss having the seamstress taking my measurements for the new costume. I miss warm up lessons (I can't even do a split now or touch my toes w/o bending my legs). I miss staying back after dance to brush up on the choreo. I miss the rush I felt when we're preparing for a performance. I miss our dance practice venue, and yes, the floor. I miss dancing on that piece of ground.

Most of all, I miss dancing.

01:00AM

Souvenirs & gifts I received from a friend who just came back from Korea, thank you so much!! ^^

Tonight's dinner.
I realized that there's no way to appease my insatiable craving for Pasta. I crave for Pasta all the time, oh dear.

Winking in a photo for the first time hehe. Spot my childhood photo!

* * * * * *

I love watching those sappy dramas alone. With no one to distract me, I can watch for hours and laugh or cry all I want. I love spending time alone with myself, feeling safe as only tranquility is surrounding me. Those peaceful quiet times is all I yearn for nowadays, keeping away from crowds and heading straight home after school is what I want and am doing everyday. The bottom line is I love and enjoy being alone.

It's okay right?

Just some thoughts

Before reading, here are some things to take note of:

All mentioned are just my opinions and it may be incorrect so you don't have to agree with me.
Don't follow my suggestions if you're not certain as it is purely based on my experience.
I'm not trying to promote an unhealthy lifestyle.
Don't judge me hahaha.

I've always know that I eat a lot and my usual diet or favourite food are very very unhealthy. I love anything that is related to dairy products, potatoes, chocolates and I definitely can't live without eating rice or noodles everyday.

Most of the days I don't eat proper meals but that's because the snacks I consumed filled my stomach. Which means to say, the amount of snacks I eat can be used to replace 3 meals/day. Also, I used to eat fast food twice or thrice a week. Or more HAHA. Not forgetting supper. I don't eat vegetables too (except broccoli, cauliflower & bitter gourd)

It's horrible isn't it? Thank God I'm not overweight or obese.

I gained weight and I simply refuse to exercise those extra fats away because I JUST WON'T. I would rather starve than exercise. HAHA just kidding. I love eating too much there's no way I'll starve myself!!

I can't remember since when and why, but for the past 2-3 months I've stopped that extremely bad habit & diet of mine. I lost 2 kg!! Extremely slow but effective. Occasionally I still eat fast food and buffets but after that for the next couple of days I'll eat lesser than usual to "cover back" what I've eaten extra.

To get exactly how much extra food I've consumed so that I'll roughly know how much lesser I should eat to "cover back", I count the calories.

It's extremely tiring for the brain and I believe I've killed many of my brain cells just by trying to find out the calories for the individual meal/snack/beverage I've eaten/drank for the day. Adding them all up to get the total calories consumed for the day is easy though.

Another disadvantage to counting of calories is planning ahead. Oh, before all of this you'll have to set the number of calories you want to consume everyday. Like a target or daily calories intake. Average intake for females of my age is 1800. Depending on your metabolism rate, I tried 1500 before but I still gained weight so I further reduced my daily intake. I limit myself to 1000 - 1300 calories/day. I managed to maintain my weight or lose a few hundred grams every now and then.

In the day when I eat my breakfast or lunch I'll do my mental sums and see how much calories I've left for my dinner. Here comes the difficult part. I'll have to plan ahead for my dinner so as not to exceed the targeted daily calories intake. Which also means, I'll have to think of what I'm going to eat for dinner and add the estimated calories consumed for dinner into the current count of calories. Is it confusing?

You'll have to count truthfully and not minus here and there if not it's not going to work. Count more (extra calories) than less if you're not sure, just in case. Try doing this everyday. Counting of calories for every single food/snack/drink you put into your mouth. Add them all up. Counting ahead the calories you've yet to consumed. Count how much you exceeded. Count how many calories you've left for the day. Search the Internet for calories of a certain food. IT'S A TORTURE.

Though it's "torturing" but I would rather count calories than exercise the fats away HAHA. Actually I do exercise but just not enough. Like once or twice a month?? Or once every 2 months? Cause I did some research and a few resources said that it is best to exercise at least 3-5 times a week. Apparently I am not doing enough.

To keep track of whether the plan is working, take your weight every morning or whichever timings you like and compare it with the weight you take the next day at the same timing. Morning would be best, that's what my mum said. Ever since losing the 2 kg, my weight now maintains. Is it a good or bad thing?

So well, counting of calories still suits me best :) Since I can eat my favourite food and not being afraid of gaining weight at the same time! But exercising is still the correct way to a healthy lifestyle and body. I would like to tone my arms though!! It's not tiring so I think I can manage it well haha.

Pleasant start

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

It's the fourth day into the new year and I know I'm a bit late to wish HAHAHA.

I'd a pleasant start on the first day though I was working the night before. Impromptu sleepover at Cher Ying's house as there was no transport back to my place last minute. But we'd cup noodles and watched a movie on HBO channel so we pretty much ended the night well :)

Morning of 01/01/13.
Lying cosily in the sleeping bag while waiting for Cher Ying to wake up :)

Had a pleasant start on the first day of the new year because.... I HAD DIM SUM FOR BRUNCH!! Woke up to my Mum's call so I rushed down to Jurong East. It's been so long since I ate Dim sum so I was very happy that morning ^^

Century egg porridge.

AHHHHH one of my favourite Dim sum, Prawn Dumplings!!

When this came I was like, "What is this? Why look so weird one?!"

Turned out to be.... LIU SHA BAO!! Also known as Custard Bun I think. Super yums!!!

The Egg tarts were mediocre. In my opinion KFC Egg tarts tastes way much better HAHAHA.

Always saving the best for last, SALTED EGG YOKE WITH TOFU. It's yummy!! But I tried salted yoke with prawns before and it's definitely nicer just that they don't serve them in this Dim sum restaurant.

Can't believe this but I'm having buffet for lunch tomorrow and it's only the first week of the year!! My point is, I went to numerous buffets during 2012 so I thought maybe for now I shouldn't go for buffets so often (Unhealthy!!)  but HAHAHA I can't do it. I love to eat hehe.
