Saizeriya Ristorante E Caffe

More food photos for you? Hehe. This time round it's Saizeriya. Not sure how popular this place is but anyway it's a Japanese chain family-style Restaurant which serves really cheap Italian food! If you are on a very tight budget but wants to eat 'good food' at the same time, this is the place for you :)

I was paying for my parents and myself. The bill surprisingly came up to $51.30, a little on the pricey side given how cheap the food is but it's because we kind of over ordered... Fret not, just look at the price that I stated above each dish and you will know exactly how cheap the food is.

No GST and Service charge despite the numerous outlets overseas, how awesome is that!

Liang Court
177 River Valley Road
#02-22, 179030

I went to the outlet at Liang Court, there are many other restaurants there too. Feel like checking them out. Go search the directory online!

Mushroom soup - $2.90
Salad + Drink set - $3.90

The Mushroom soup tasted creamy enough, a little small in portion but the price's cheap so no complains :)

Garlic Butter Focaccia - $2.20

If you like Indian food, go ahead and order this. If not, don't. This tasted like Naan, although in my whole life I have never eaten Naan before so I have no idea why it tasted like Naan to me hmm.

Pork Sausage - $4.90 *MUST TRY*

Full of juice and flavour, it was so good we ordered another plate!

Salmon Doria - $5.90

Other than the over salty Salmon, the white/cream sauce really complemented the baked rice well.

Chicken Gratin - $4.90

The usual white/cream sauce with Penne, but the meat given was quite little according to what my Sis told me. But still, it's only $4.90. The sauce nice can already hahaha.

US Sirloin Steak - $11.90

Dad's order. He said it's good given the cheap price, but then he added awhile later "Actually it's only average" hahaha. This is the most expensive item on the menu if I am not wrong. See how cheap the food are??!

Black Pepper Chicken Chop - $6.90 *MUST TRY*

Surprisingly good!!!! Tender and juicy.

Seafood Spaghetti - $7.90

If you don't already know, I LOVE PASTA. It's like my weakness and given any chance to order whatever food I want, without hesitation I will choose Pasta. So based on the many various types and plates of Pasta I have eaten, I shall give my verdict for this Seafood Spaghetti HAHAHA.

The portion's really big but the Spaghetti was a little overcooked, just a little. I want to try their Squid Ink and Carbonara next time!!

Chocolate Lava w/ Ice-cream - $5.90

Not really worth the money... But it's nice!

Oreo Cheesecake - $3.90

Kind of like creamy cheesecake, without the cake part though hahaha. I think a slice cake from Coffee Bean would be better? Haha.

More food entries coming up!!! Posting about food just makes me so happy HAHAHA.

Itacho

Went Itacho with Mum and Eldest sis at Jcube the next day after Max Brenner. We usually go Sushi Tei but this time round Mum suggested Itacho because she was craving for their Scallop Sashimi haha. This is my second time visiting only and I am madly in love with their food!! Although nothing can beat Sushi Tei's Salmon Mentaiyaki... Yums. Anyway after the meal I purposely kept the receipt till now(for 2 weeks hahaha) to show you guys the prices. Really very cheap for authentic Jap food!!

Took a group shot of the food HAHA. Didn't take much individual shots because I was too hungry to snap one by one haha.

In clock-wise direction:

Fried Japanese Oyster(beside Tamago) - $6
Roasted Egg with Spicy Salmon - $3.20
Crab Meat Salad - $4.80
Salmon Sashimi x 2 - $3.60
Jumbo Scallop Sashimi - $10.60
Cream Croquette - $3.70
Seared Salmon with Soy Sauce x 6 - $2.40!!!!
Tamago Sushi x 2 - $2
Grilled Mackerel with Salt - $8

Itacho has this special promotion going on since forever do check it out! 6 Seared Salmon sushi for only $2.40!!!! It kind of don't look like Salmon from here, not sure whether is that Salmon skin but it's still damn delicious.

Spicy Salmon Sakura Ebi Inari - $1.90/piece

This is one of my fav sushi ever too!! Love love love the beancurd skin!

Other than Spicy Salmon filling, this Tamago comes with Curry Lobster and another flavor which I can't remember haha.

Gyoza with Green Tea Salt - $2.40

Spot the salt? This plate came originally like that. The gyoza is not bad itself but the salt.... Oh wait, where's the salt again? HAHA.

Total bill came up to $59.55(inclusive of tax & charge) for 3 pax. Cheap right!!! Imagine if my Mum never order the Scallop Sashimi but ordered something else instead the bill would be even cheaper! But she said the scallop was very fresh and worth every single cent.

Shopping after that and we went Coffee Bean~

Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

A couple of Fridays back I met up with Genevieve for Max Brenner at Vivo! It was kind of a good and bad experience at the same time but I did not regret going.

While waiting for the desserts to come...

What we ordered. Looks very appealing right?

Chocolate Fudge Cake - $15++

Vanilla Bourbon Ice-cream, shot of Chocolate Frappe, Chocolate sauce(only a little inside actually hahaha) and Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Tutti Frutti Waffles(I think) - $18.90++

Waffles tasted so nice when it was still hot but then after it turned cold.... We couldn't even eat a bite. Actually I have no idea why were we so full when we did not even had dinner.

Well the good part is the Vanilla Bourbon Ice-cream was really very good. It was like the BEST Vanilla Ice-cream I've ever eaten in my whole life. The bad part was well.., we got sick of the chocolate after awhile and had to force ourselves to finish the dessert because cannot waste money right!! After adding the extra charges, mine was $18 and Gene's was $22. So yeah, to make our money worth it we finished almost everything.

After the meal, I felt like I couldn't eat or smell chocolate for the rest of my life. Haha just kidding but I really felt that way for the next few days. Anyway, despite the very expensive price, do visit Max Brenner at least once if you haven't! Just remember to share and don't be like us and order a dessert each but maybe it's just us, I don't know how much chocolate can a person eat at one go.

Standing on the edge

School is really draining my energy. It's so hard to concentrate during lessons and work extra hard at home trying to recap what I've learned for the day. I really hate pre-readings and after class work. During the day I put in a lot of effort in class to complete the day's work and after school at home, I am still surrounded by school work. I know this situation is typical for students but it wasn't like this for me a year ago?? FYP sucks too I rather take up another module seriously. Currently 4 weeks into the last semester, feeling super stress and I am already on the verge of breaking down. 9 weeks more to go. How am I going to survive.

Thankfully I have a friend, Ain, who is constantly there for me when I am down and if you see this, thank you so much for being my listening ear and listen to my rants all the time hahaha.

Coffee Bean yesterday before FYP meeting. Love their Christmas Flavors!!

Need all the luck I can have on this Saturday, will decide where I am headed for in life after graduation next year. It's that serious! Don't want to say the actual reason here though.
Pray for me.. Xx.

Food

KFC with Family a couple of weeks back.
Gosh seeing this photo makes me crave for KFC ):

I love their new improved fries!! The roasted chicken very nice too hahaha. As long as the food is from KFC I will like HAHA.

School food.

Blehhhhh. One of the worst pasta I've ever eaten in my life. Beef Bolognese from Reel room @ RP.

Fried Beehoon with Chicken from the food court that sells Hokkien mee at Lot 1. Don't look appealing but it's super yummy!!!

Haven't tried cooking this yet. I really doubt my cooking skills so I shall cook this when I am having a good mood and day so even if it turns out bad I won't be too disappointed haha.

Love eating Ice-cream on rainy days.
Makes me feel even more colder after but I like that feeling because Ice-cream can never fail to cheer me up or make me feel even more happier.

Swensen's again!

These photos are wayyyyyy outdated. Went Swensen's on my last day of holiday, which was nearly a month ago hahaha.

This is my second time going back in October and this time I tried other food, which surprisingly was so good!!

Curry Chicken Baked Rice

Surf & Turf - $17.90
Beef Patty with Cheese, King Prawns, Fries and Onion Rings

Mine!!!!!

The beef patty is so yummy!!!! Just look at the oozing cheese mmmm yums. But I advise you to share the beef as it's really thick and I think you'll get sick of it halfway through the meal. I shared mine so it was alright for me! I enjoyed the whole meal~

Chilli Fish Pasta

Crispy Cornflake Chicken - $15.50

We had doubts about this because it's just fried chicken, can eat at KFC. BUT BUT BUT,  we were all so wrong!! This cornflake chicken is so damn good!!!! Love the saltiness and how crispy it is. Totally worth the money.

Pepperoni Pizza

Look at the amount of cheese.... OMG. So nice hehe. Though I still prefer Domino's Pizza thin crust.

Ice-cream!!! Recently I really love eating mint Ice-cream! I love the cooling sensation it leaves behind and the chocolate chips in it.

Granny :)

Trying to take a photo of myself and the view but fail..

Alright that's all for Swensen's!

* * * *

My laptop is finally repaired!!! Everything is going very well(except for one particular download but I shall worry about that later) and I can resume watching my dramas like finally. Currently watching 'The Heirs', it's such a dramatic yet romantic and funny drama at the same time. Even my bestfriend who normally cannot stand watching dramas on laptop has somehow got addicted to it too haha.

I recommend 'King 2 Hearts' and 'City Hunter' as well! I cried a lot watching K2H because it's just too sad and I remember after watching the 1st episode I couldn't stop and I ended up finishing the entire drama in a week I think. Too free nothing to do that time hahaha. 'City Hunter' is more of action and romance(as usual). I like watching the male lead(Lee Minho) fight bad guys because he's so tall and his leg is very long so during fights he look super cool hehe.

Just saw the time and it's 2.10am already... Shall resist the urge to watch The Heirs and head to bed now. Planning to spend Saturday catching up on all the movies and dramas I've missed.

Goodnight.
