Food makes me happy

As mentioned previously, here are the photos taken @ the Buffet last Friday! Before scrolling down for the photos, just a note that this post is extremely longggggggggggggg... filled with photos haha. Address and price at the end of post. Alright start scrolling!

Oh right, I haven't said which Buffet I went to. I'm pretty sure this place is known to most Singaporeans, SAKURA INTERNATIONAL BUFFET RESTAURANT. Sounds like some atas place, but it's not hahaha. It's been nearly 2 year since I last came here because the standard of food was getting worse then. Anyway, starting off with my Family!! :)

Love this photo the most and the ones with my grandparents :)

Ah gong & Ah ma (Maternal side)
Proud to say, my Ah gong is 95 yrs old already!! He's still healthy, considering the fact that he still can walk, loves & eats Sashimi Salmon :))

Ah gong trying to smile I think hahaha.

*LOVES*

OK TIME FOR SOME FOOD PHOTOS!!!!

Grandfather's plate of Salmon.

SERIOUSLY their cold prawns are better than the ones at Buffet Town!! It's much fatter and has more prawn taste?? HAHAHAHA. My parents agreed too. (Idk why my mum took the sauce)

Sauces. Did not try any because it all looked weird to me.

I really dislike when Sushi are not served COLD. Most buffets do that so I normally don't eat Sushi at Buffets.

I was really looking forward to the Tempura as I'd a good impression of it. Disappointed though, the flour was sticking to the prawn = not fresh. The last time I ate Sakura's Tempura, it was really yummy with the prawn and flour easily separated when torn apart.

Siew mai was mediocre, too much flour in my opinion. The dim sum at the right was alright.

SALMON STEAK WAS DA BOMB!! *MUST TRY*

CHICKEN CHOP WAS YUMMY TOO!!! *MUST TRY*

My super charred Satay. Scraped off the burnt parts and it tasted quite nice with the peanut sauce.

Squid.
Thought it would be very hard but turned out to be quite soft & chewy!

Laksa. Spicy and Salty is all I can say.

TIME FOR DESSERTS!! Bet you guys will be in a huge shock upon seeing the next photo!

☺

BEN & JERRY'S!!! Major craving for some b&j's now.

As usual, I chose all the chocolate related flavours. Had 3 bowls of  2-3 scoops. SATISFACTION.

Chocolate Therapy, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, NewYork Super Fudge Chunk and Strawberry hehe.

Without flash. Couldn't decide which looks more appealing so I uploaded both haha.

Soya bean pudding w/ Caramel.

Oreo Cheese Cake was a little too soft for my liking. It tasted like cream to me.

Marble Cheese Cake was the best!! (Beside Oreo Cheese Cake)

Oh and the desserts here are definitely much better than Buffet Town! At least Sakura have cakes, brownies, durian fillings & mochi. Though Buffet Town has crepes and waffles haha.

The super round dessert covered with chocolate was yummy!! Mocha something. All the desserts on this plate is a *MUST TRY* except for Oreo Cheese Cake haha. That's the brownie at the top of the plate! DELICIOUS HAHAHA.

I realized I really love blogging about food, always so excited to share yummy food with people hehe. Anyway if you noticed, the food (especially the Sushi) was refilled quite slowly but it doesn't affect me because those food that are not refilled frequently are the ones I don't eat hehe.

Silence in the heart

While sitting in the living room updating this space, I'm perspiring like mad now even though I just showered and it's pouring outside now. What's wrong with me? Hmm. On a totally random note, I played badminton yesterday (after 5-6 years?) and I'm extremely bloated as I had buffet for lunch :)

Recent photos!

Anyway remember I recently post about the sale on Asia Cotton On? My stuffs came yesterday!! Guess how much did I spent for 6 items?

S$18 only!!! Studded collar dress & Knitted Cardigan for $5 each, Wallets, Earring and Hair band for $2 each. Extremely good buy :))

Will probably post the buffet photos on the next post, till then xoxo

Buffet Town @ Raffles City

Hi guys, here are the photos from Buffet Town!! (I went on the second Saturday of October) Anyway I did not take pictures of all the food I eat because I was busy eating haha.

In clockwise direction:
Grilled Mid-joints (must try!!), Sambal prawns, Chicken or pork (can't remember) satay, Beef satay, Shishamo, Steamed chicken (doesn't look appetizing I know haha), Tofu with shrimps, Stir fry beef.

Mushroom soup. Quite creamy? But also filling at the same time as it's soup.

My first bowl of Cream Pasta w/ Bacon, Crab meat & Squid.
I don't really like the current cream sauce because they added white wine and the alcohol overpowered the cream taste. The first two times I went, I clearly remember that no alcohol was added and it tasted so much better. But still, it was a good bowl of cream spaghetti.

Tomato base Spaghetti w/ Bacon.
I decided to try the tomato one for a change and it's turned to be quite yummy!

Fried Chicken wings. MUST TRY.

Granny's plate of Sashimi.

Chilled Seafood.

Mum's plate of Oyster. I think she added Tabasco??

The super salty but yummy steamed chicken.

Pasta again.
Cream Penne w/ Bacon & Crab meat.

Laksa.

I did not try the desserts there because it doesn't seem like my type of dessert. In case you're wondering, my Mum took all these desserts.

White coffee and Macadamia Ice-cream. The white coffee was really too sweet, no coffee taste at all in my opinion. It's more like sugar ice-cream to me. Macadamia was alright, nothing special.

Buffets seems to be a part of my life now. Everytime there is a special occasion, my family will celebrate by going to Buffets or a Japanese restaurant. Anyway, this Friday I'm going for a Buffet again hahaha. I'm going to keep you guys in suspense, not saying which Buffet for now!

As I always go for Buffets (once every 1-5 months), I am really afraid of gaining weight. Therefore from my experience, here is what I always do before & after a Buffet.

Before: About 2-3 days before the Buffet, eat lesser than your usual diet. Avoid carbs (rice, noodles). Do some exercises too if possible.

After: I always eat Lunch Buffets, so during the night after buffet, I don't eat dinner. If you're someone who sleeps late, your stomach will definitely start to growl or feel hungry. Drink milk or eat low fat biscuits (E.g. Jacob's, avoid bread!) OR JUST SLEEP EARLY!!

Simple right haha. This method only helps prevent me from gaining weight after a Buffet, not lose more weight from my original weight.
