Back with second day at Bangkok! A little more photos this time round, of food though haha. Oh and this was the day where I thought my knees were going to give way and I might become a crippled HAHAHA. It's because we did serious shopping for 8hrs+!!! I was literally dragging my feet while shopping later at night. Anyway, for 2nd day we went to the Morning market first for a bit of shopping, then back to the hotel for breakfast buffet(yay!!!), Platinum for shopping till 7pm then to MBK for food and MORE SHOPPING. It's like we shopped from morning till night, very shiok yes but EXHAUSTING.
Morning selfie. While waiting for the rest to get ready...
I actually only brought a pair of shorts, sleeping clothes and NOTHING ELSE for this trip. Packed super light for this trip because I'll be buying lots of clothes so no point bringing my own haha. Save luggage space too!
Group photo ^^
Typical morning market.
Mangoes! There were plenty of street food too but we did not try.
I bought a lot of clothes from the Morning market! Mostly 150baht = S$6, for dress and tops. Extremely cheap!!! BUT, it will be even cheaper if you buy more. I will explain later at the end of this post!
Went back to the Hotel for Breakfast buffet!! Which cost 380baht = S$15.20 per pax.
While eating breakfast I was facing this view, from the 79th floor. Look far!
Twin outfits! Haha.
Mini pancakes!!! Love the fact that Maple Syrup was given too heh.
I really love their Sausages YUMS.
I normally don't eat Prata much but surprisingly their Prata was really good?!??
After Breakfast we went down one floor and visited the Observation Deck.
Tuk-tuk.
Mum on Trishaw :)
Sampan. We were allowed to sit in it and take photos.
Spot my Second sister's face HAHAHA. We totally did not expect the photo to turned out like this, thanks to bad lighting this became the joke of the day! On the whole she looks like a Broccoli right?!! HAHAHA!
Went to Platinum to shop again after Observation deck. On the first day we only completed shopping the top levels so this time we shopped at the bottom levels. No photos because well I was busy shopping haha. After the mall closed we went to MBK for dinner and more shopping! At this time my legs were aching already... Very bad memory and I hope I won't ever experience that kind of pain again, seriously. Our feet, calves and knees were hurting like mad I still remember!!! Never thought that my legs can hurt this way. Dreadful.
This was on a bridge outside MBK, selling Polo tees. Took this shot standing at the side alone while waiting for them to finish buying the tees haha.
Inside MBK.
*Important Announcement*
NEVER EVER STEP INTO THIS FOOD COURT AT MBK. The food is damn freaking expensive!! If I'm not wrong, the cheapest food cost at least S$7. Plus the food taste super normal?!?? So don't ever try this, you will regret.
Walked around the food court and was a little disappointed because I found nothing that suits my taste. Platinum's food court was so much better for me. So I told my Mum and Sis to order anything and I will just eat a bit of theirs.
Padthai with Omelette. Other than the egg, it was bleh haha.
Green curry was alright though! But it's expensive... Almost the same price as my Hotel's menu for room service.
See the display at the bottom? It's the same for the entire food court. They uses REAL food which is a little disgusting because I saw flies crawling over some of the food.... Omg. It's an International food court btw thus there were desserts available.
Food found outside the food court along a stretch.. I think this is something like melted Marshmallows with crepe.
We walked around a bit, did not buy much because there were not much clothings(we only shopped the top levels as there was not much time left). There're plenty of IT gadgets and stuffs and a few shops selling shoes and real leather bags.
Mum and Eldest sis went for Thai Massage after this and we went back to the Hotel to rest.
End of Day 2!!
Extra Information & Tips!
1) To purchase food at Platinum's food court, you have to top-up money into a card and the remaining money will be refunded after you finish eating. There will be station just outside the food court for top-ups and refunds.
2) Morning markets starts from 6am to around 10am? Opens longer during Weekends. Night markets only starts from 6-7pm and ends around 11+ pm.
3) All the places I went so far, including Shopping malls and Morning/Night markets, they normally sell clothes by wholesale. Which means buying clothes at (mostly) 3 pieces, where 1 piece will be 100baht, 3 piece 300baht. If you buy individually it will cost 150baht. This is the exact price quoted to me at Pratunam for most of the dresses and tops I bought. I did not want to buy same dresses or tops so I bought all for 150baht because $6 is still damn cheap for a dress!
4) Always bargain!! Like duh hahaha. You can bargain more at markets though. While at Platinum they will only reduce the price by at most 50baht = S$2.
