CNY 2013 - Eve + Day 1,2,3 & 6

Hello!! How's everyone doing?? I had a great time during this Chinese New Year! So much love, food, fun & money surrounding me HAHAHA. Here's an update of what I've been doing, skipped CNY day #4 & #5 because I'd school, nothing much to talk about except... I skipped school on day #4. Photos from my iPhone + some instagram snaps ☺

Eve.

In total, I had 4 reunion dinner with my grandma. 1st was at a restaurant, 2nd was Chinese New Year's Eve, 3rd was CNY Day 1 and 4th was at my house on Day 3. 

2nd round of Reunion dinner (Paternal side). Love love love home-cooked dishes!! ♥ 

I know there's so much greens but it's just the garnishes, my grandma love green onions, parsley etc... 

Prawns + leeks and Broccoli + scallops + pork is a MUST HAVE for my family every reunion dinner and it's my two most favourite dish HAHA. Super yummy I want to eat again, major love for the gravy!! *drools*

Day 1

A picture with my sis first before leaving for Grandma's house.

HAHAHA my sisters and I carried Hello Kitty bag for oranges this year.

Pretty and colourful flowers grew by Grandma :)

While waiting for the elderly to get ready... Munch on some yummy Almond brittle first hehe.

After some waiting... Finally Grandma is good to go!

The only male grandchild my Paternal side grandparents have, so he's very precious HAHA.

All the grandchildren!!! Except for the male one above. First visit is to Great granny's. Every year all the grandchildren (including me and my sisters) will crowd in my Dad's car and the adults (grandparents & aunt) will go over to my Uncle's car (The kid's parents, if it's still not confusing enough)

Recognize the rubbish on the tray??!!!! For the first time during all the Chinese New Years, we were starving and there was no REAL FOOD (only the goodies) so all the grandchildren went out for McDonald's!!!!

Day 2.

At Grandpa's house! The 95yr old going 96 Grandfather HAHA. I always quickly rush to the armchair whenever I go his house because it's so shiok!! Can rock front and back one with your legs up on the resting chair infront, if you can imagine HAHAHA. 

Next stop - Nanny's house!

Very, very, very bored. Long car ride from Seng Kang to Yishun. 

 

Love chilling at Nanny's house!! Always have the CNY vibes + lots of goodies too and this year there was something extra! They specially fried seaweed chicken, chicken karaage, fries and many more yummy finger food! I did not take photos of the food because I was too shy hehe.

Only 5 photos for Day 2 because I am still waiting for the Family + Relatives photos to be uploaded on to Facebook. My phone only contained pictures of food, small group of people, myself and random shots of random things haha. 

Day 3.

Invited my Grandparents and Cousins over for Steamboat lunch!!! Plus it was my 19th birthday too :)

After Steamboat we rested for awhile. Chit chatted, watched TV and played some games with the kids. Then it was time to celebrate my Birthday!!! 

I was in awed by the words on my cake. First time ever there were wordings on my cake. Actually no, from the past photos there were wordings on my birthday cake when I was younger but I have no memory of it. 

Because my Birthday falls on CNY, I received extra red packets!! Spot Paul frank? Gift from my Eldest sister's bestfriend! HAPPY MAX.

Then my happiness started decreasing.. There was school for the next two days. WHY OH WHY. But I managed to save my happiness back hehe. Skipped Day 4's school and for Day 5 I went to school for an hour only. Oh, it's Day 9 now right. I had STEAMBOAT FOR 4 DAYS STRAIGHT. Sounds little BUT, I shall rephrase. I had Steamboat for LUNCH & DINNER for 4 days straight. Now I am kind of afraid of Steamboat. 

Day 6.

It's the last weekday for the week so it's a rest day after all the hectic visiting for the whole week. No Steamboat too HAHA. Went to Olio Cafe for Brunch with Family! Been wanting to try the new Cafe ever since it opened, finally a chance :)

Pretty Cappuccino served with a mini biscuit.

Clam chowder and Mushroom soup. YUMS.

Garlic fried rice w/ Tempura prawns.

Carbonara for me!! Of all the cream base pasta, I love Carbonara the most! Almost every restaurant I went to, if they serve pasta there I would definitely order pasta! I LOVE YOU PASTA ♥♥♥

Went Zirca & Mink that night. Loving night life more!

More exciting events coming up for the next 2 weeks! Zouk and Adventure Cove with KALIPP on 27th & 28th!! Then Marine Life Park with Parents, Granny and Cy on 2nd March!
